How is the Site map of KISAN.com? The site is divided mainly into 2 parts.
1. My Account: which you create only after signing up.
2. Global content: of the site which is accessible to both logged-in and non-logged in
member*.
The “My Account” menu bar appears vertically on the left after you login and can be
used to see your own details. You can see and add your contribution from this menu bar. You can visit other members’ profiles by clicking on their names or Profile Images. The “Global” menu bar appears horizontally just below the header, on all the pages of the site. The links to Images, News-Views, Know-How, Bazaar, Directory will take you to see the content added by other members in that section. There is very strong search developed which is also available on each page right upper corner. By using this you can search for Members, Images, News-Views, Know-How. Bazaar section has an in built Advanced search to find out the offers of your interest. *Non-Logged in user gets restricted access to the global content. To get full access, a user has to Login. If the user is not a member yet, he has to Sign up.

It is a social and business networking site for Agri community. But it can also serve many other purposes including documentation of traditional knowledge, Exchange of content, platform for sharing local observations etc. The members of Kisan.com will decide it the best how it should be used.

What is a Scrapbook? Scrapbook is a place where you can write a small, passing by note up to 300 characters (should be increased to 1000) for your friend or any member of kisan.com. It has to be written by visiting your friend’s or that member’s Account. Your friend or any other member can also come and visit your account, open your scrapbook and write a note for you.
How to post a scrap to a friend/ member? go to topTop
Click on a profile Image or a member’s name and go to his/ her account. Click on Scrapbook in the vertical menu-bar or Scraps at the center of the page below the member’s name and start writing in the blank text window. Once you are done with writing, click on the “Post Scrap” button below the window. Your scrap will appear in the member’s scrapbook immediately below the window. If you don’t want to keep the scrap, you can delete it with the “Delete” button on the right side of the scrap. You can delete your scrap later on also by going to the same place. Your scrap can be deleted by you or the person who receives it.
How to delete many scraps at once? go to topTop
In the scrapbook, just below the title of the page “My Scrapbook (46)”, select ‘All’ if you want to delete all the scraps on that particular page. This does not delete all the scraps in your scrapbook. Go to the end of the page and click on “Delete Selected Scraps” button. Say ok when the confirmation is asked for. This action can’t be reverted. You can’t find your scraps once deleted. To select many scraps at one go on a page, you can select ‘all’ and then uncheck some of them which you don’t want to delete. If you want to delete few scraps on a page, then go and check boxes on the left of each scrap. Then follow the same process of clicking “Delete Selected Scraps” and saying ok. You can also delete scraps one by one, using the ‘Delete’ button present on right side of each scrap.
Where do I receive my scraps? go to topTop
You receive your scraps in the scrapbook of your account. To see the scraps written to you, go to on My Account, click on ‘Scrapbook’ in the vertical menu-bar or ‘scraps’ at the center of the page below your name. Both the links take you to your scrapbook where all the scraps written to you are seen. The number next to scrapbook ‘My Scrapbook (47)’ suggests total number of scraps present in your scrapbook.
